Happy Friday, my beauties!
Congrats on getting through the week. For those of us up in the Northeast, the only thing you’re hearing about in the news right now is the blizzard that’s going to hit later today and/or may have already started. One to two feet between now and tomorrow? Ay yi yi. I’m going to bestow on you a piece of advice a friend of mine’s mother gave him in times of treacherous weather: Make sure you have good bottle of wine. Hell, get a few bottles of wine. You’re gonna be stuck inside for who knows how long, so might as well get a little crazy. What is your must-have when you’re stranded at home? Comment and let us know!
Now, enough is enough about the snow storm, which by the way is named “Nemo.” Sounds pretty threatening, right? Kidding. Sounds like the nicest and cutest little blizzard on the planet to me. Anyway, I digress. Let’s get to the news.
Rihanna was seen leaving a courthouse where she attended Chris Brown’s latest hearing earlier this week. Between this and the massive amounts of time they’ve been spending together, it looks like she really has forgiven him. What do we think about this? Do you believe that if you really love someone you can forgive and forget or is physical abuse too big of a deal to overlook no matter how deep your feelings go?
Sunday marks the one year anniversary of Whitney Houston’s death. Take a moment at some point this weekend and play your favorite Whit hit in memory of the pop goddess. The world famous Madame Tussands Wax Museum unveiled four iconic Whitney wax figures on Thursday that will be placed in various museums throughout the U.S. According to People Magazine, it’s the first time in 200 years that the museum heads have created numerous replicas of one person at the same time.
If you do get a second this weekend, check out this vocal masterpiece of Whitney singing an acapella version of “How Will I know.” http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZGVUpXQHV4. Enjoy 🙂
In other news this week, “The Office,” the first sitcom to champion “mockumentary” comedy, announced that its last show will air on May 16th. It’ll be a one-hour series finale and no news has dropped on whether America’s favorite boss, Michael Scott, played by Steve Carell, will make an appearance. If you’ve never seen the show, you’ve got three months and 16 days to catch up on nine seasons. Get started this weekend. IT’S WORTH IT. I PROMISE. For those of you who do watch the show, which character will you miss watching every week. Mine is Dwight. The man is just too much sometimes, but I can’t live without him and his ridiculous sternness.
Alright, that’s it for now. Stay warm, north-easterners. And everyone else who will not be stuck in a blizzard this weekend, go frolic in a field for us.
Check back next Friday for the latest entertainment news!
