Julian Assange, Wikileaks founder, was recently given confidential banking information regarding alleged tax evasion and other criminal acts by the bank’s clients. The information was given to him by a former employee of the bank who was dismissed in 2002.

Are this monumental violation of trust between bank and client and it’s implications worse than having the truth? If we can justify a bank employee, current or not, handing over private information to a news source, how much more of a leap is it to justify all the digging into our private lives the Homeland Security Administration is involved in?
